Okhaldhunga is a small hill town in the Eastern Nepal. Okhaldhunga is also a district Headquarter of Okhaldhunga District which is in Sagarmatha (Everest) Zone in the Eastern Nepal. The area traditionally known as Wallo Kirat (Near Kirat) . It is the home of Rais and Sunuwar, but people from other ethnic group and caste do also live in this region. Okhaldhunga can be reached by air, Rumjatar airfield or by road from Katari a small foothill town in the southern Nepal, which is also part of Sagarmatha Zone.
